I am BACK from SC camp!
The first day was basically games and more games. And even more
GAMES. Played some ice breaker games and did really dumb forfeits. Firdhouse was sabotaged
soooooo many times by his own group members. Lol. After that, we, sec 3s, have to go for this talk thingy on leadership (CARAT!) and we played really fun games. Jia Qi and I were having lotsa fun playing the golf game thingy. Hah, we were screaming with joy whenever we scored a goal.
Then when we were back to our own groups, we did the flag and cheers. Called ourselves
CR, a short form for
COPYRIGHT. The cheer was pretty cool cos
I invented the first verse! :D Haha, I'm kidding. It was the stomping/clapping part that made the cheer awesome. Kevinn and Jon came up with that part. Soul ya bean's cheer was super duper UBER cute! I think Fara came up with the cheer's actions. Damn cute.
Okay I'll skip to the night games.
We had treasure hunt at night and the camp com were so
evil. They stood behind pillars or walls and scare the wits outta people by jumping out on them when they walk by. But my group was lucky cos we didn't get scared by them. By the time after lights out, Aarti already lost her voice due to excessive shouting and screaming. Lol.
Yu Duan slept and I followed suit though I said I wanna read my magazine. Lol. Sya and Jolene went to goodness knows where with Nico and some others. Read Aarti's blog to find out where they were.
Second day was
AWESOME cos there was Amazing Race, water games and
CAMPFIRE! We had 5BX in the morningm, led by Jie Tong. And followed by water parade (Firdhouse actually thought water parade was water games! HAHA.). Had breakfast after that. The amazing race was called Surviving the Wild and we were told of the rules and how to play by Jie Tong, who was really bad at explaining the rules. Lol, so he called all group members to gather and he explained the rules.
So Surviving the Wild started by Aarti giving out the clues. First come, first serve- Aarti's rule. Our first clue was 'Southern Vivo City". Jon and Kevinn weren't with us cos they were the station masters. So Sya and I led our group consisting of only three members: Jie Long, Cheryl and Jolene. Jolene can sleep practically everywhere, in any position! Lol. She slept in the train towards Outram and in the train towards Harbour Front.
So at Vivo, we went to first floor and checked the directory. Went up to third floor at the open space cos according to Sya, the open space was the most appropriate place. Went there and started searching for any familiar faces. Then there was this two people who started
waving at us. Thinking they were the station masters, we walked toward them. And that was when we realised that they weren't anyone from Tanglin. So I said to them, "We're from Tanglin lah." Went on and search the entire place but we couldn't find anyone. Called Aarti, only to get a chuckle when I told her what happened and a "Go find them yourselves!". So we went on searching at the place where you can see Sentosa opposite. Splitted up and searched for like 45 mins? When we couldn't find anyone, we went back to first floor's entrance where there's an open space, too, outside. But we still couldn't find anyone we know. Called up Aarti again and explained our situations. She said she'll get back to us in a min's time so we sat at the blue chair thingy. Jolene nearly fell asleep again until Aarti called back and told us the station masters were at third floor, open space.
'What the heck?' was our reaction.
Ran to third floor again and presto! Virgilio, Nadirah and Jon were there, at the place near the bridge where we saw the two people waving. And we were there one hour ago! Jon confessed that they went to have breakfast at
Long John's. Sya was protesting non stop. Haha. So we played the game, Human Knots and solved it in 13 secs. Got the next clue- Tiong Bahru Plaza- and we sped off. Met Jue Ying and Peggy's group there when we found Tudor, who was the game master there. Played the game and Tudor told us that he didn't have the clues with him. We were like %32#$&^%#$#@?!?!??!!. And so he told us to go to Taka's
carpark and find either Zhi Xiong or Kevinn.
He was so wrong about Taka's carpark.
We searched the car park, level by level, and most of the time, we can't find the entrance to the carpark. Smsed Kevinn and asked him if he was taking Taka and he said yes. Then Jia Qi sent an Sms to me, asking where are we and that she's at Taka. She called me soon after I replied and told us to go to the fountain, near Crystal Jade Restuarant. So we went to Crystal Jade and looked around for a fountain nearby. When we couldn't find one, we thought maybe Jia Qi when Jia Qi said, "the fountain", she might mean a shop named 'The Fountain'. So we searched for a shop named The Fountain but we couldn't find one. Called Jia Qi and she said go to B2 or smth (I forgot) and we found the fountain that she was talking about. Then there was this security guard who was following us, talking into his walkie talkie...
...and I saw REDS!
Played the game there and the security guard who followed us kinda told us off. Got the next clue but there weren't anymore time cos Stacey told us to go back to school. Went to get a drink at the bubble tea shop and that same security guard started following us again. He asked us what were we trying to do and we said we were getting a drink. Lol. Stupid security guard.
After the drink, we went back to school via train and then bus (Again, Jolene slept). Had lunch and then it was the talk on leadership again. Mr Low told us that we had to do the time line and mind map thingy on Teachers' Day celebration project on the mahjong paper. So we did the planning and the ideas and the writing etc. Then Mr Low told us that we have to perform a skit on CARAT for campfire.
And Kevinn came up with the whole thing. The skit's really funny and dumb. The he added the Gatsby thingy at the end of the skit. It goes like,
Kevinn: Oh yes, and G!
Jun Liang and Nico: But dude, there ain't any G!
Kevinn: Oh yes, there is! G stands for (sings and Jon starts messaging his face from the back) I can give you Gatsby, Gatsby, Gatsby!
Kevinn, Nico and Jon: Gatsby, moving rubber (dances this move)
Had the water games after that. We filled up plastic bags with water and started throwing at each other until the camp com told us to go to the field, where the game was held. The game was really simple; you just have to protect the pail given to you and make sure no water goes in.
Everyone went crazy. We threw water bombs at people's pail. And when we grew outta that custom, we started throwing water bombs at anyone we see. It was awesome! The camp com had the water guns and Jia Qi sprayed really ice cold water at me :( But it was fun, really.
After the water game was dinner and majority went to change into dry clothes. But Sya, Jolene, Yu Duan and I didn't. Had dinner in a soaking wet state. Practiced CR's group cheer with our members cos Kev changed a lil of it.
Campfire was after dinner. And it was when the fun started...
Sec 2 group 1 had their performance, followed by sec 2 group 2 and then 3. And it was sec 3 group 1, which was my CARAT group and we performed the really lame but funny.
Performances and so on.. Then our group cheer! :D Went out pretty well too. Kevinn jumped off the stage to do his breakdance and we jumped off the staged at the end of the cheer where we'll shout, "CR!" as we punch the air.
After everything, we did the friendship walk! Made a HUGE circle around the fire and started the friendship walk. Everyone were DAMN high.
The seniors left after we finished the frienship walk. All of us sat down and started singing campfire songs, with Nadia leading us. Then Aarti had an idea. "Why don't we switch on the music and start dancing?" We all agreed on that.
Everyone went wild.
Dancing, shouting, screaming whilst the music was on. The SL were invited to join us but they just sat there and watch us go wild. Haha. Like,
damn wild. Then after the dancing, Aarti got another idea. She decided to play hide and seek. Around the school.
So after putting the benches back, everyone ran in all directions, hiding from the camp com cos they are the seekers. Yu Duan and I joined the camp com. But at third level, Aarti asked this qns and if we say yes, we gotta go back down to the canteen. Yu Duan had to go down. So I continued with the camp com to search for the hiders.
It was super uber scary and Aarti and I held hands so it won't be scary. We came up with this phrase... But I forgot. Aarti! Tag on my board!
Initially, we wanted to go the hall's backstage to search for people. But we decided not to, due to certain reasons. So Larry, Samuel, Aarti and I only went into the hall. But it's obvious that there ain't anyone cos who the hell would go there at night. We went to the DNT block too and Aarti told me that if I should see anything, just squeeze her hand and not shout out. I was like damn afraid lol. But we didn't see anything outta the ordinary and we managed to catch everyone :)
Had supper and it was wash up time. Yu Duan and I didn't sleep after that. We went back to Mr Tan's room and watched Mimic 2 with Jie Tong, Sya, Nico and Jolene. Mimic is damn gory. The roaches were grossssssssss. It started to rain during the show. After Mimic ended, the SL had to do smth so we can't switch on the lights outside. So we went to SC room, Yu Duan and I. We headed to the hall cos the people in the room wanted to sleep. Sya, Nico and Jolene were nowhere to be seen anyway.
In the hall, we saw Firdhouse and his friend, I-forgot-what-is-his-name. We sat there and talked while Aarti and gang were giggling at one corner, whispering to one another. We suspected something going on. And sure enough, one whole group of people, consisting of even NCC people, came into the hall, and crowded around a sleeping Tudor near the mat. They were doing something and then someone whispered, "Ang Moh's awake!" Everyone either rushed outta the hall or came to us. Aarti explained, "They put powder on Tudor's face." Lol. Tudor didn't wake up. It was a false alarm, I guess.
Then I don't know what went on and Tudor woke up and told us that if we don't go to sleep, he'll tell Mr Tan. And he went back and packed his stuffs and went outta the hall. His face wasn't white or anything and we found out that the powder didn't get on his face. Nadia, Aarti, Nadirah and some sec 2 girls came into the hall a short while later and told us that they saw Tudor, looking really scary. But when they took a second glance, he was gone. Poof. So I went with them to search for Tudor. But to no avail. So I went back to the hall. Yu Duan and Firdhouse were talking and his friend was sleeping. Eriza was there with them too. And they were apparently exchanging ghost stories in the darn scary hall. I was totally freaked out by Firdhouse and his non stop ghost stories. Even his jokes were scary. Stupid woble. Haha. We went to sleep after that.
Then in the morning, Larry told us that Tudor slept at the 4th floor, all alone :\
We played Captain's Ball on the third day and then went to have breakfast. Packed up and headed to the AVA room. Played several rounds of BLOW WIND BLOW! Peggy's forfeit was the funniest! :D
Then we had to present to the whole of SC and Mr Tan what we've planned for Teachers' Day and the Investiture. It went out pretty well and we had the award giving sessions for the best camper, bast group and etc. Went around for the autography thingy and we took pictures and then Aarti announced the official end of camp.
